China’s Ministry of Commerce is coming to GTS 2019!
29 Mar. 2019

The Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce of China has expressed it’s support of GTS!

The Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China is a cabinet-level, executive agency of the State Council of China. It is responsible for formulating policy on foreign trade, export and import regulations, foreign direct investments, consumer protection, market competition and negotiating bilateral and multilateral trade agreements.

The Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce sees GTS as the most effective way for Chinese investors to enter the African market. The organisation has pledged its full support of GTS and several government officials plan to attend GTS 2019.

Partnership with such a large and influential government body is warmly welcomed by GTS and as a result of this affiliation, an entire section of the 2019 event will be dedicated exclusively to Chinese products.

With events like the China-Africa Cooperation Forum taking place more and more frequently, it seems that relations between China and Africa are growing ever important. The Chairman of China recently revealed his plan to invest over 6 billion dollars in South Africa while the China-Africa Cooperation Forum plans to spend even larger amounts of money elsewhere in Africa in the near future.

Now, with the support of the Ministry of Commerce, GTS is taking a lead role in further strengthening these connections and promoting investments.
